A imprensa brasileira noticiou que as mensagens da Sra. Kamala Harris ecoam as do líder da chapa, o Sr. Joe Biden, que fez ameaças ao Brasil por causa dos problemas da Amazônia. Por diversas vezes, o “ex-vice-presidente, que aparece no momento com favoritismo nas pesquisas da Casa Branca, disse que se o Brasil não conseguir proteger a floresta amazônica, ele tomará as medidas necessárias junto à comunidade internacional para impor a preservação à o país."
Quem se propõe a impor a outro país — parceiro na paz e na guerra — qualquer ameaça à soberania nacional deve receber a resposta adequada, independentemente do poder político, econômico ou militar. A soberania de um estado é como a honra de um indivíduo: não tem preço.
Na tentativa de derrotar Trump, a Sra. Harris dando essa importância ao Brasil é surpreendente. Querer ser vice-presidente dos Estados Unidos falando inverdades também é muito surpreendente. Ela deve ser convidada para duas caminhadas na grande floresta brasileira: uma aérea para verificar a imensidão de suas aleivosias; e outra longa, a pé, para ela refletir e nunca esquecer que os animais vivem bem na Amazônia, mas os mentirosos não!
